Cristy Frost-Jones

Cristy Anne Frost-Jones, 40, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Swedish American Hospital. Cristy was born on June 16, 1981, to Karen and Vergil Helton in Rockford, Illinois. Cristy attended Rockford East High School, graduating in the class of 1999. Cristy bowled many years when she was younger, and even won 2nd place IHSA state her freshman year, and 1st place her sophomore year. Cristy was a self-pay specialist for many years. On March 1, 2014, Cristy married the love of her life, Reginald Jones. She was loved by so many- her smile, her laughter would light up a room. She was the life of the party and was the hype girl at every event. The love Cristy had for her family is unmeasurable. There was not a family gathering, birthday, or holiday she would miss. She loved making sure that everyone enjoyed themselves and felt loved. She loved to shop for any and everything from prom dresses for her nieces, to toys and outfits for her grandkids. She also loved to travel, anytime or anywhere. She was always up for an adventure or shenanigans. Her vibe was so incredibly contagious that if you were in a bad mood, it wouldn’t take long for you to have fun right along with her. Her love for life will live forever on in her family and friends. Cristy is survived by her parents, Karen and Vergil Helton; sister, Stacy (Joe) Steede-Enna; brother, Erik (Stephanie) Anderson; daughters, Tonesha Jones, Aliyah Ross, Jasmine (Tavante) Irving, and Amaya Jones; sons, Reginald Jones Jr., Davonte (Christen) Jones; 14 grandchildren; nieces, Rhyanna Steede, Karissa Enna, and Payton Enna; nephew, R.J. Steede; dear friends, Gail Nordvall, Linda Tracey, and Joan Steede- who the family would also like to personally acknowledge for all of their support. ? Cristy was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Jones; both maternal and paternal grandparents. A Celebration of Life for Cristy will take place Tuesday, July 27, 2021, from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at The American Legion, 1011 South Alpine Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108. Please note a service for Cristy will take place at 2:30 P.M. that day. Memorials may be made to the family.
