Constance "Connie" Mae Harker (Carpenter) of Rockford passed away in her home on July 5, 2025.
Born November 1, 1947, in Rockford Illinois to her parents Alfred and Dorothy (Guffey) Carpenter.
She graduated from Guilford High School in 1965. She enjoyed working at Canfield Clinic and various service-oriented jobs.
She was a tough cookie who told it like it was. She had a hard shell but a soft heart. She had a special love for kids & animals, especially dogs, and loved creating gifts and designing many different arts & crafts.
She enjoyed a nice breakfast out or a good phone call with family and friends and was always interested in learning and questioning.
Survived by her daughter Nicole "Nicki" (Cory) Church, son Brian (Eve) Harker, sister Carli (Carl) Jensen, brother-in-law Jack Irvin, many nephews, a niece, and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Alfred and Dorothy (Guffey) Carpenter and sister Carol Irvin.
