Concepcion "Connie" Bozek (Vargas) passed away in her home, where she resided in Rockford, Illinois on March 2nd, 2025 at 3:30 P.M. She was seventy eight years old. Connie was born in Mexico City, Mexico to parents Antonio Caño Vargas and Francica Cerbantes Cabrera on June 11th, 1946. A true warrior and a wonderful inspiration to look up to, Connie went through many hardships in her life and successfully fought multiple issues. She was extremely brave and would always make the best out of any situation. Connie always knew how to keep herself busy, not one moment with her was ever boring. She enjoyed arts and crafts, displaying her talents by crocheting and knitting afghans. Connie made her own ornaments for the Christmas tree, and had a knack for painting and embroidery.
Despite not physically being able to enter Church for a long while, Connie was a devout Catholic who cleverly gured out how to watch masses on the St. Bridget Church's Youtube page, so she could still participate in the Church. She also took part in Lent each year. If Connie could not make it to her grandchildren's sports games, she would access them online, always wanting to see her grandchildren as they meant so much to her. She was a family loving woman with a heart of gold, beloved by all of those who knew her. Connie loved animals and they loved her too. Family smile when pondering upon the memory of a cat called MJ, randomly jumping into her lap while she watched one of her grandchildren ride horses. Over the years she had many pets she took care of and loved with all her heart.
She is predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Francica, and two elder brothers, Manuel and Antonio. Connie is survived by a husband, Lawrence "Larry" Albert Bozek, her two children, Brian Keith (Jessica Kennow) Bozek and Nicole Jean Falcetta née Bozek (John Paul Falcetta), four grandchildren, Madelyn "Maddy" Elyse Bozek, Kaitlyn Michelle Falcetta, Cameron "Cam" Mitchell Bozek, and Alyssa Madison Falcetta, among several other family members such as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and a great-grand kitty named Heathcliff but better known to the family as Mr. Chubb Chubbs. No longer in pain, Connie can now freely walk, fly, or run across the clouds in the sky with Jesus and all of the angels, but the world will never be the same without her. This tremendous loss left a hole in the hearts of her loved ones that cannot ever quite be filled again until we see her again, in the sky where she is now free. Nothing will ever be the same without her, however, her family strives to live just like she would.
Her immediate family near the area she resided in will be having a private celebration of her life. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 6204 Forrest Hills Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111 www.statelinecremations.com
