Clayton Lowell Gilbaugh, Jr., 77, of Rockford, died March 10, 2020 in OSF St. Anthony Hospital. Born August 16, 1942 in Rockford; son of Clayton Lowell Sr. and Helen (O’Hara) Gilbaugh. Clayton worked as a machinist for Rockford Products for over 40 years. Clayton was an avid Chicago Cub’s fan and followed the Rockford Ice Hogs. He enjoyed listening to 50’s and 60’s music, watching western movies, especially with John Wayne, and WWE Wrestling. He is survived by his children James Matthew (Jeanne) Gilbaugh, Anna (Howard) Hall, Jason (Cathy) Gilbaugh, and Melissa (Brent) McCann; grandchildren Jason Lawshe, David and Michelle Gilbaugh, Angie Hall, Joseph and Erica Wylie, and Margaret McCann; sister Judy (Ray) Robinson; nephews Brock (Lori) and Brent (Jessica) Robinson and their children. He is predeceased by his parents. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Marcia Mapes for her help in caring for Clayton. Visitation will be 10 am with 11 am Memorial Service to follow, Monday, March 16, 2020 in Calvary Christian Church, 5455 Charles St., Rockford, IL 61108.
