Cheryl Platt

Cheryl Kay Platt, 60, of Belvidere, passed away at Javon Bea Hospital on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. She was born on October 4, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan, to Logan and Susan (Fischer) Bowles.
In her youth, Cheryl worked alongside her brother at Clairmont Cleaners, a dry-cleaning company in Berkley, MI. She later moved to Belvidere, where she found the love of her life, Bud Carolfi, and made it her home. Cheryl was a dedicated life-time member of the VFW and a 20-year member of the American Legion in Belvidere, where she generously volunteered her time for various events and functions.
Cheryl had a passion for riding motorcycles, often seen enjoying the open road on Bud's Harley Davidson. Together, they traveled extensively, relishing the sights and each other's company. In her leisure time, Cheryl enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden and cooking.
Cheryl is survived by her beloved partner and best friend, Bud Carolfi; her daughter, Ashley Platt of Scottdale, AZ; her parents, Logan and Susan Bowles of Ortonville, MI; her brother, Phillip (Erica) Bowles of Ortonville, MI; nieces Stephanie (Steve) Jacobs and Lexi Bowles; nephew Kyle Bowles; great niece and nephew Ava and Joe Jacobs; aunts Diane (Warren) Hentchle and Evelyn Urban; and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Todd Bowles.
