Cheryl Abernathy

Cheryl Jean (Fielder) Abernathy, 67, (1955 – 2023) passed away after a long battle with cancer on July 6th, 2023. Cheryl enjoyed cooking, movies, video games and friends. Loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by grandson Devon Fielder and great-granddaughter, brothers Lee (Becky) Fielder and Daniel Fielder, sister, Shirley (Fielder) Lovell, as well as cousin, Mellessia (Marcus) Price and other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by parents, H. Harold and Rosezetta Fielder and sister Linda (Fielder) Ploughman and brother-in-law Thomas Ploughman, son Brett Allen Fielder and grandson Brett Allen Fielder, Jr. Memorial will be held July 29 th , 2023, at 11:00 AM at North Park Church of Christ, 7620 Elm Avenue, Machesney Park, IL 61115.
