Charlene L. Stringham, 79, of Rockford, passed away on September 5, 2026, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. She was born on June 1, 1947, in Muskegon, Michigan, the daughter of Charles and June (Jaarda) Stringham.
Charlene worked as a beautician for most of her life. She was Catholic. In her younger years she played the guitar and she always loved to read, especially horror and thriller novels by Stephen King.
Survivors include her son David (Stacy Lundberg) Crane, Sr.; grandchildren Christopher, Carrie, and Kenneth Newell, and David Crane, Jr.; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers and sisters; and daughter Shelly Reeves.
