Chad Van Winsen

UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATION: Chad William Lon Van Winsen, 47, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 8th, 2021. Chad was born May 11, 1973 in Belvidere, IL. He was the son of William H. (Debra) Van Winsen and the late Karen Tabatt. He attended Belvidere High School in Belvidere, IL. Chad loved music and movies. He is survived by his father and stepmother, William and Debra Van Winsen of Caledonia, IL, Grandmother, Donna Moore of Orangeville, IL, siblings Angela (Jake) Carroll of Belvidere, IL, Crystal (Jason) Litchford of Loves Park, IL, Cheri Tabatt of Rockford, IL, and Jesse Tabatt of Watertown, SD. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Chad was predeceased by his mother, Karen Tabatt; Grandparents Beverly and Harold Haroldson, Ralph Moore; Jim and Jean Gasper, and his Uncle Lonnie Van Winsen and his Uncle John Gasper. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be made to the Carpenter's Place of Rockford, IL in memory of Chad. A walk-through visitation for Chad will take place on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at New Beginnings Fellowship, 6413 Logan Avenue, Suite 201, Belvidere, Illinois, 61008.
