Brian Schier

Brian Schier, 65, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 11 at UW Swedish American hospital in Rockford, IL. He was born December 15, 1957, the son of the late Russell and Rogene Schier from Oregon, IL.  Survivors include his son, Russell W. Schier of Oregon, IL, daughter, Jeneen (Robert) Anderson of West Brooklyn, IL, and two sisters, Carol Ann (Ted ) Plum of Rockford, IL and Diane (Gary) Roos of Oregon, IL. He was a special uncle to Petrea (Ryan) Meier, Natalie King, and Vanessa (Bob) Hitchcock. Leo, his Australian shepherd, was his best friend.  Brian worked at Atlas components as a welder and maintenance man. He was always willing to lend a helping hand for plumbing, electrical, and construction work. Brian enjoyed fishing, NASCAR racing, visiting pawn shops, and mechanical tinkering of all sorts.  No service is planned at this time. A memorial will be planned at a later date.
