Brent Johnson

December 31, 1969 — August 16, 2023

Brent Daniel Johnson went to be with Jesus, his Lord and Savior, on August 16, 2022. Born December 18, 1954 in Rockford, IL, son of Paul and Marjorie Johnson. He married Nancy Steifner on May 3, 1980. They have eight children. Brent graduated from Jefferson High school, Letourneau College and UW in Madison with a Masters in electrical reliability engineering.  Brent loved airplanes and trains. He loved table game nights with family. He enjoyed hiking, biking and swimming. Brent enjoyed camping and our annual trip to the lodge with family in Manitowish Waters, WI for 30 years was a special favorite. Brent treasured his relationship with Jesus. His favorite bible verse is Micah 6:8. "He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God." He had a heart for the elderly and orphans. He was known as a man of integrity. Brent loved to laugh.  He had a great sense of humor. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters Susan Cooper,  Paula (Michael) Wagner,  Maria and Heidi; sons Kelly,  John,  Ethan and Caleb; grandchildren, Savannah,  Sadie,  Alex,  Kaleigh,  Jazmin, Sebastian, Marco, Jojo, Simon, Dylan, Colton,  Priscilla and Darren; great grandchildren,Nova and Olive; brothers Darrell (Laurie), Bryan (Nancy), and Tim (Cindy); Uncle Bob (Lois) Johnson; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service for Brent will take place Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 11:00 A.M., with a visitation from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Maywood Free Church. 3621 Samuelson Road, Rockford, Illinois 61109.
