Brandon Winters

Brandon Joel Winters, 31, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022, in Rockford, Illinois. Brandon was born on July 20, 1990, in Rockford. He was raised in Pecatonica, Illinois, and attended high school there as well.
He loved every second he had spending time with his family, no matter the occasion. In 2021, Brandon and Stephanie welcomed their daughter, MacKenzie, to the world. He quickly had a new love in his life. Brandon enjoyed taking his boat out and fishing whenever he had the chance. He also loved to participate in target practice, as he was very passionate about our second amendment rights. Brandon loved going to see Jelly Roll in concert with his friends whenever the opportunity arose. Brandon had a wonderful sense of humor.
He is survived by his mother, Natalie (Jason) Clark; love of his life, Stephanie Atteberry; beloved newborn daughter, MacKenzie Winters; grandmother, Diane MacKenzie; countless loving friends. He was preceded in death by grandfather, Frank MacKenzie. All donations will be given to his daughter, MacKenzie. A celebration of life for Brandon will be held at Pecatonica United Methodist Church, 528 Washington St., Pecatonica, IL 61063 on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 11:00 A.M.  with a luncheon to follow.
