Bobby Joe Smith

Bobby Joe Smith, age 50, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on September 2nd, 2026, after Battling his kidney disease. He was Born on March 8th, 1976, in Rockford, IL son of Lucille Smith.

Bobby Graduated from Jefferson High School In 1995 and continued to work at the following: Kmart (security guard), Kohls (security guard), River City Mill Work (forklift operator), Chrysler (Door Line), Skateland (manager), and Quaker. He spent a lot of time volunteering at the Rockford BMX track. He enjoyed riding his for wheeler with the kids through the trails, and his Harley was his favorite get away. Even though Bobby worked at the BMX track and Skateland that was more than a job to him. He had met so many people and created so many bonds and was so loved by many. He made everyone around him feel like family. Bobby fought his fight with his kidney disease, but he never let that stop him. He was always on the go and was always needed somewhere. If you called him, he would be there.

Survivors Include his Son Tanner Smith(Briana Adrian), Daughter Teagan Smith, Nephew Tyler Dobbs, Niece Katie Dobbs, Great Nephew Kristian Sanders, Great Niece Lilyana Cameron, Great nephew Kaison Cameron, Sister Linda Lovett, Niece Alaska Lovett, Sister Vera Lovett, Gram(Debbie Lovett), Nephew Martavian Lovett-Chapple(Shelby Gardner), Nephew Elijah Lovett-Chapple(Jaylin Smith), Trevon Lovett-Chapple, Aunt Susan Trosper, Cousin Breeona Trosper, Cousin Brandon Trosper(Diane)(Wyatt), Cousin Brian Trosper, and Several other family members. He also has several family Friends. He is predeceased By Mother Lucille Smith, Uncle Darius Trosper AKA Corky, Cousin Pete Loy, Friend Todd Norris.
