Billie Sokol

Billie Rae Sokol, 74, of Davis, IL passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020, at home, surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 22, 2020 at 10:00 a.m at Faith Community Church, Davis, IL. Billie was born in Chicago, IL on July 4, 1946, to Irvin and Jessie (Matthews Meier-Milojevic). She had fond memories and many stories of spending her teen years in Fordsville, Kentucky with the Matthews family. She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Hutcheson of Maquoketa, IA, Deanna (Hutcheson) Moore of Davis, IL; her son, Jim Hutcheson of Davis, IL; her grandchildren Matthew, Joshua, Nicholas, Jessica, Kristen, Jeremy, Jack and Madeline; and her seven great-grandchidren. Billie loved Elvis and classic country music, enjoyed sewing, playing word game puzzles and keeping in touch with her family and friends through Facebook. When she retired, Billie settled at Lake Summerset in Davis, IL where she enjoyed having family visits and having all of America celebrate her birthday with her. She loved watching the sunsets by the fire, riding ATVs with her grandkids and was always up for an adventure. Billie was active in her Bible Study group at Faith Community church and enjoyed sharing daily devotions.
