Beverly Hanson
March 11, 1936 — May 20, 2025
Beverly (Bev) Hanson was born on March 11th to Amy and Clarence Hanson. She lived all her life in Rockford, Il before passing away on May 20, 2025, at age 89.
She graduated from East High School and worked at J.I. Case for several years before moving to Nelson Knitting, working in keypunch at the time. Bev was also a former member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. In her later years, she lived at Alma Nelson/Alden Debes nursing home where she was well known for rolling into the library for a good book or going outside to observe nature.
Bev will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. She is survived by her only sister, Eleanor (Texas), nieces Kelli Brown (Texas) and Glenda Corwin (SC) and nephew, Scott Walter (Rockford) plus numerous grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
Shout out to the staff at Alden Debes who cared for Bev for many years and to the Unity Hospice team (Kennis, Alicia, Kelli, Pam and all the wonderful volunteers), who were SO caring and supportive for the past 2 years. They were so appreciated!
