Barbara Orethun

Barbara A. Orethun, 79, of Janesville, WI, died November 18, 2019 in AGrace Center for Hospice. Born November 12, 1940 in Marshall, WI; daughter of Matthew and Agnes (Biederman) Bass. Married Arvin M. Orethun, Sr. on October 5, 1974; Arvin died September 7, 2016. Most recently Barbara worked as a food demonstrator for Carlson’s Food Demonstrations and was known as the “Pizza Lady”. She had worked for Parker Pen for 39 years before they closed. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Janesville. Barbara loved to help people and she always put others before herself, and she enjoyed taking care of her flowers. Survivors include her son Arvin M. Orethun, Jr.; daughter Ginger Tuescher; grandchildren Damien and Nixon Tuescher; sisters Susan Green, Marion Wrasse, and Shirley Hunter, several nieces and nephews, and son-in-law Nick Tuescher. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and sister Judith Wallace. A Memorial Service will be 11 am, Saturday, November 30, 2019 in St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 709 Milton Avenue, Janesville, WI 53545 with Rev. James Janke officiating.
