Arthur Peucker

Arthur G. Peucker, 84, of Roscoe, Illinois passed away peacefully on December 11, 2021. Arthur was born on February 18, 1937 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Arthur and Emma (Black) Peucker. He lived his entire life in his childhood home in Roscoe, Illinois.  In his youth, Arthur assisted family and neighbors with their farming, and eventually became quite a successful farmer himself. Arthur served briefly in the Army, stationed in Germany.  He always spoke fondly of his service there. Arthur had several hobbies including stamp collecting and attending auctions, but his greatest interest was hunting. An expert marksman, his hunting skills were legendary. One of his favorite memories was of his hunting trip to Canada with his brother, uncle, and friends. Arthur was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his brothers Roger and Walter, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved cats Blackie and Boots.  The family is grateful for the support and care given by Mercy Hospice during his final days. A special thank you to Beloit At Home Health Care for the many months of support given to Arthur, especially by Nurse Thu and Nurse Kelly.  A memorial service for Arthur will be held at a later date.
