Anita Baney

Anita Baney, 66, of Rockford, IL, passed away on November 14, 2023, in her home. She was born on May 8, 1957, in Rockford, the daughter of LaVern and Juanita (Hartley) Baney. She worked at JL Clark and Long John Silvers in her younger years. She loved to drink Dr. Pepper and watch TV and movies. She was a huge gossip and loved to get information on people. She used to go motorcycle riding with Thomas Arrington. She enjoyed getting foot rubs from her son-in-law LaRue. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandsons and her great grandbabies.

Survivors include her daughter Lisa (LaRue) Johnson; grandsons Joseph Torres, IV and Isaiah Mecalf; great grandchildren Olivia Margaret Torres, Aria Renee Torres, and Joseph Torres, V; sister Jean (Arley) Blake; brothers-in-law Douglas and Claude Arrington; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; and siblings Larry, Laverl, and Linda Baney.
