Andrew Gade
October 1, 1977 — January 15, 2025
Andrew "Andy" T. Gade, 47, of Rockford, passed away on January 15, 2025, in Rockford, IL, the son of Terry and Bev Gade. Andy enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors whether it was hiking, fishing, camping; he would go ice fishing and hunting with his dad. He did some woodworking and remodeling; he was a handy man. His girlfriend would say "Nothing could stop him, if he wanted to do it, he would do it". If he needed guidance he would YouTube the solution. With Andy being born in the 70's, one would think he enjoyed music from the 80's, but not necessarily. Andy was a fan of 40's and 50's music. He would ride his motorcycles when he was feeling well and would take it for an hour or so in the morning in the countryside. He would say he wanted to "Get better and feel better to ride [his bike]". Andy was a jokester with a great sense of humor. His favorite holiday was Thanksgiving. He loved to cook everything from scratch. He would even kick his girlfriend from the kitchen saying "It's my kitchen". But most importantly he was a selfless person. If he had five dollars, he would rather give it to you than keep it to himself. He took care of his girlfriend Toy. He would walk her to her car every morning for work, or if he couldn't physically get up, he would watch her from the cameras. When he last saw his doctor, he asked him for two more months. When asked why, he told the doctor he needed to help his girlfriend get through the winter by shoveling the snow. Andy would say he "Loved her more than life itself" He will be dearly missed.
Andy is survived by his dad Terry (Leslie Knox) Gade; his girlfriend Toy Vongsavath; and brother Steve (Gilda) Gade; uncle Keith Gade; cousins Angie (Erick) Czyzewski and Jim (Megan) Gade; his beloved animals Benji and Coco; his special buddy Kingston, who would call him "Grandpa Andy"; and a special thanks to Tony Ferrington. He is predeceased by his mom Beverly Johnson.
