Alphanso Barbary

Alphanso Louis Barbary, 62, of Rockford, departed his earthly life on Friday, January 7, 2022, in his home after a short illness. Al was born December 22, 1959, in Rockford, IL; the son of Dorothy (Barbary) Joyner and James Edward Marshall. As a child, Alphanso grew up attending Tabernacle Church of God in Christ. He graduated from Auburn High School in 1980. Al was employed for many years at Maid-Rite Restaurant. Al enjoyed his life to the fullest and loved his family and close friends. May he rest in peace.
Al leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Dorothy Joyner; brothers Anthony and Dion Barbary; sister Kayla Dean; nephews Chenaire Barmore and Javeion Hoover; nieces Shanon Hoover, Alesha and Valentyna Barbary, and Power Moore; aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Darrell Barbary; grandparents Roosevelt and Mary Barbary and Leo Tidwell.
