Allen Burke

May 5, 1960 — September 19, 2025

Allen Joseph Burke, 65, of Rockford, passed away on September 19, 2025, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Allen was born on May 5, 1960, in Richland Center, Wisconsin; the son of Arthur and Myrtle (Morgan) Burke. Allen went to Page Park School. He worked for Barbara Olson Center of Hope. Allen lived at the Hallam Terrace group home for many years before moving recently to Alden Park Strathmoor. Allen was a huge Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley fan. He had many of their albums and knew the words to all their songs. He loved cars and trucks and enjoyed his car magazine subscriptions. Allen was also very fond of dogs.

Allen is survived by his mother Myrtle (Larry Utley) Burke; siblings Patrick Burke, Marietta Lehrmann, Merlin Burke, Barbara Thomas, Amy Nichols, Glenn (Elise) Koski, and Ronald (Michelle) Koski; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his girlfriend Jarri Hewitt. He is predeceased by his father Arthur Burke; brother-in-law David Thomas; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Hallam group home, Alden Park Strathmoor, and OSF St. Anthony Medical Center for their care and compassion for Allen and his family.
