Alex Weir

Alex Jacob Weir, 30, of Belvidere, passed away on March 7, 2022. He was born in Rockford on August 29, 1991, the son of Timothy Weir and Stephnie Christy. Alex earned his GED through Regional of Rockford and then went to Rock Valley College to become a computer technician at the age of 16. He was very tech savvy and enjoyed helping others figure out the ever-changing technology. Alex enjoyed spending time with his family and having cookouts. He was a baker and liked making desserts. Alex is survived by his mom Stephnie (Chad) Purl; brothers Timothy and Travis Weir; stepsisters Crystel Prather and Autumn Purl; stepbrother Matthew Purl; grandmother Carolyn Edmison; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He is predeceased by his father Timothy Weir; sister Desiree Weir; grandfather Willie Edmison; and stepsister Jeneca Purl. A Celebration of Life will be at 2 pm, Friday, March 18, 2022, in Belvidere First Assembly of God, 1105 7 th Ave. Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. David Smith officiating.
