Alan Lashock

July 14, 1945 — October 18, 2025

Alan "Al" Gilbert Lashock, 80, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, surrounded by family. Al was born on July 14, 1945, in Rockford to Leonard and Hilda Lashock. He was a graduate of Boylan Catholic High School and proudly served his country in Vietnam. Al retired from McAllister Equipment after many years of dedicated work.

Al had a love for music and a passion for history. He was beloved by many for his sharp wit and sense of humor, which brought laughter to those around him.

He is survived by his three daughters, Chelsea Lashock (Robert Schwarz), Mary (Adam) McKay, and Whitney (Shawn) Mayfield; eight grandchildren, Breona, Ryan, Zoe, Carter, Nora, Logan, Owen and Connor; one great-grandchild, Ivori; two brothers, Duane (Mary Ann) Lashock and Gary (Lori) Lashock; his former wife of 46 years, Patti Lashock; and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Karen Park.

Al will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, Wisconsin. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 6204 Forest Hills Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111. www.statelinecremations.com
