Aidan Gregory Mclane, 28, of Rockford, Illinois, was born on November 2, 1997, at Rockford Memorial Hospital to Jeremy W. Mclane and Angela Chapman. Aidan tragically passed away on January 19, 2026, at Aldeen Park.
Aidan graduated from Auburn High School in 2017, where they were proud to be part of the CAPA Program and deeply committed to staying in tune—both musically and creatively.
A musician by trade and by soul, Aidan expressed themselves through bass, guitar, songwriting, and performance. Their creativity extended beyond music into art and skateboarding. Aidan was a part of many bands including Karate Gossip, Itchy Nipples, LZRT, Taco Confuso, Skin Factor, Vatican Pity, Aliens of Modern Cinema, and Ca$hgrab Hearthrobs.
A believer and member of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, Cats, and the Church of the SubGenius (agnostic).
Aidan will be remembered for their creativity and authenticity. Their music, art, and spirit will continue to echo through the lives of those who knew and loved them.
Aidan is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
Survivors include: Jeremy (Dawn) Mclane, Angela Chapman; grandparents Greg McLane and Mary Baker; siblings Sydney (Ramon) Mclane, Zoey Silva, George and Madeline Porter, and Jordan Howe; uncles Jimmy, Johny, Jake, and many more. He is predeceased by Jantz Wedel. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
