Aaron Robert Duane Johnson

Aaron Robert Duane Johnson, age 17, passed unexpectedly on September 14, 2026. He was born on June 16, 2009, in Rockford, IL.

Aaron was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend whose presence brought something special to the lives of everyone who knew him. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his sense of humor, his intelligence, his outgoing personality, and the love he had for the people and animals around him. Aaron had a way of making people feel cared for and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Aaron is survived by his mothers, Crissy and Deborah Johnson; his brothers, Larry (Ashley) Johnson, Brandon (Katie) Johnson, Randy (Samantha) Johnson, Jose Macias, Chris Johnson, and Elijah Sanders; his sister, Payton Gourley; his nieces, Olivia, Isabella, and Ivy Johnson; his nephew, Benson Johnson; his uncle, Rob (Jennie) Johnson; along with countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Johnson Sr., and his grandmother, Sara “Siss” Johnson.

Though Aaron’s time with us was far too short, the memories he created and the love he gave will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him. His life touched more people than he may have ever realized, and his memory will continue to live on through his family, friends, and everyone who loved him.

Rest peacefully, Aaron. You will be loved, remembered, and missed always.
